I couldn't agree with you more on the emphasis of the importance of planning for your retirement. Many people don't have enough money to fund themselves through retirement, and that's a scary fact. I make my living selling insurance, so I talk to a whole range of insurance leads and customers each day. The best advice I think those facing retirement need to consider, concerning insurance relate to auto insurance, health insurance and life insurance. People retire and don't use their cars as much, they hit a period in their life when health insurance is generally relied upon more often and of course, there is the life insurance consideration and ensuring that one's family has enough money for funerals, meeting financial responsibilities, etc. Retirement definitely is a great time for many people if they plan for it!
